Prospect Park: Brooklyn's Largest Outdoor Grounds

Nestled in the heart of Brooklyn, Prospect Park is by far the largest city park in the borough. This 585-acre mecca offers a wealth of activities and events throughout the year. In the summer months, you can stretch out on the lawns of Long Meadow and Nethermead and picnic under the sun. Explore the forest and ravine, take the kids to the Prospect Park Zoo to check out the wildlife, and then make your way over to the carousel. Catch one of the free concerts going on at the park's bandshell. Prospect Park even has its own ice skating at Wollman Rink, where you can practice your turns or sip on hot chocolate. With baseball, basketball, softball, and tennis, the park is a sports lover's dream. In the warmer months, visitors and locals flock to Smorgasburg, which offers a range of cuisines in an outdoor food market setting. This expansive city park covers all the bases, and is conveniently just minutes away from the hotel.
