  • how long does it take to Walk across the Brooklyn Bridge?

The best way to experience this iconic bridge between Manhattan and Brooklyn is by pedestrian walkway above the roaring car traffic. There are 2 entrances to the pedestrian footpath on top of the Brooklyn Bridge. The first is at the intersection of Tillary Street and Boerum Place, and the second is up a stairway through an underpass on Washington Street. It takes between 30 and 60 minutes to walk across the one-mile bridge, depending on how long you want to check out the amazing sights and views of the East River. Once you step in Brooklyn, explore the exciting Dumbo and Brooklyn Heights neighborhoods that surround the bridge.
